My Scensty Story,
My name is Theresa "Tessie" Lynch, I'm from Kansas City, KS and I Love SCENTSY.
My Scensty Story began in the spring of 2013. I was first introduced to Scensty by a co-worker and instantly fell in love. I had never heard of Scensty before all until another co-worker one day was talking about it and had a bunch of samples at she had on her desk smelling. I was always a candle person, so started smelling with her and really love the scents and she had a catalog with her and I started looking and found a bunch of neat warmers and tons of scents that I liked, So I called the rep here at the office and scheduled my own party. I was scared at first that no one would show up at all or order anything. So I wasn't for sure what I was supposed to do exactly as a host so I went the store and ordered a couple of sandwich, vegie trays, with chips and cookies and then I thought to myself how about a get a couple bottle of wine to losing people up to the idea and want to order stuff and it worked big time. My one night party on a Friday night ended up turning into a three night event closing that Sunday night with a grand total of $1,231.71 before taxes, I ended up with so much free & half price merchandise it was unbelievable. Pam Stark, my Scentsy Lead was so impressed, she said it was one of the best parties she has ever had. I had a complete blast hosting and selling that night, so almost a month later I decided to take a chance and signed up to become an independent consultant without hardly ever hearing or seeing anything about it except that one time. I figured that the worst thing that could happen was that I would still have a warmer, scents, a room spray and car circles to last me for quite some time.
I can't tell you how happy I am that I took that leap and started my own business with Scentsy. I can't say enough about how much I underestimated not only how much I would enjoy the products but my potential for success as a Scentsy Consultant. I held my own business launch party and it was amazing with a total sells of $552.94. Everyone loved Scentsy and I was able to pay for my kit from the commission from my first party! From there on, it just kept getting better. At my second party the hostess had a great turnout and did very well. Upon receiving the product she called me and said I love these products.& Within a few months later I had my first consultant and my end of that end I had my second consultant. Within that year I ended up becoming a lead myself and I love how my business has grown and how many clients I have.
One of the things I enjoy most about Scentsy is meeting new people and hearing their stories. It is so fun to watch as the guests pick up the sample candle scents as they are reminded of childhood events, a past boyfriend, or their grandmother's apple pie. At a recent party a woman told of how her cats knocked over a candle and started a small fire, so I convinced her into buying a warmer and now she can't get enough of it and has become a lifelong customer of Scentsy.
